I CANT PUTT!!!!!!!!!!!

I didn't really know how to follow my last entry, that's why it's taking so long for me to update, that and I'm lazy.

Monday, July 25, 2005

yeah yeah its been forever since i last updated, but considering i dont always have a computer at my house that works, and i dont really have time to do this crap, i think its ok.

if u didnt noe, i just got back from maybe the most amazing trip i could ever go on in my life. i went to Zambia, which is in Africa, to work w/ the orphans there, and there are a lot there. we did a sort of VBS w/ them. we had the same group of kids from about 9-4 everyday, and i fell in love w/ my group of 11-14 yr olds. im not even gonna try to write down all the things that happened to me during the week, but i will highlite some things. there was this one kid named gift. and it was a fitting name b/c God gave him as a gift to me this last week. on tues. God told me that he was a born leader and that i should tell him that. well during a 1 on 1 time that i got to have w/ all my kids i told him that then found out that his dad was dead and that he was the oldest of 3 kids. i was blown away when i heard that. the next two days i got to see him grow into that leadership role that God had put him in, and it was one of the most amazing things to watch happen. on fri. he had another kid in my group give me a note from him to me. mind u this kid didnt speak much english, but he wrote me a 3 paragraph note in english. now the handwritin isnt very good and its hard to make out some of the words, but the fact that this kid would just take the time to do that is amazing. and also the last day he asked me several times for a pic of myself, which i didnt have but was able to give to my sis and she is gonna make sure he gets that.

prob the most impactful day was my bday, thurs. in the mornin God blessed us through donations to be able to bless orphans w/ a new pair of shoes. it was heart wrenching to see these kids that have nothin come in and recieve somthin new for the first time in their lives. wut really blessed me was when i got to see one of my kids come in w/ a huge smile on his face. his name is Godfrey, he really hadn't done much up until that point. but he saw me when he got in and stood up to give me a great big hug. i was able to also put shoes on and pray a blessing over several other of my kids which was a true blessing. after that some Zambains helped unload extra boxes at the villas we stayed at and on the way bak, they "anoited" me by pooring water on my head and singing happy bday to me. it was the best bday song ive ever heard in my life. then in the afternoon we went w/ the kids to their skools/orphanages and went around THEIR neighborhoods and evangelized. my assignment was to coach not to participate in the evangelizing. i emphasize THEIR community, b/c thats where THEY lived, they were gonna see those ppl from day to day and have to live up to wut they were talkin bout. its easy for me to go over there and talk bout God to ppl i mite not ever see again, but its dang hard to do that here w/ my friends who see me day to day. but that didnt stop them.

i have several stories, so if u wanna noe me give me a call and be ready to listen.

i dont now if u noticed but i changed the verse at the top of my site, ive found this to be true this last week. i read this verse at bout 6 this mornin b/c im still on Zambia time, but it still rang true, and will forever ring true.

i also heard SEMP was awesome, and even better than last year, which is great. im so glad even more ppl got to experience God in a new way this past week. its a great and wonderful thing.

Well summer is finally here, and w/ it came the rain and storms. kinda weird, but God works in mysterious ways. these next two weekends im gonna be gone to weddings. they should be fun, i get to play golf at both, so thats always good. ive decided im actually gonna get better at golf this summer. instead of just bein lazy all summer im actually gonna practice and get better so i dont have another disapointin year w/ the high skool team. im also goin off of sugar for the whole summer, its gonna be hard, but w/ God's help i can do all things rite? thats bout it, maybe ill update once more this summer if ur lucky.

howz everybody's summer goin so far?

well the crazy weekend turned out to be just as it sounds, crazy, but it was fun too. the band banquet was alrite, the dj's sucked again, b/c they played a bunch of mexican music that gets really borin to dance to after a while. but then peeps came to my house and we had a suprise party for chistina, that was pretty cew. the byron nelson the next was fun, sat at 16 and watched a lot of golf, the when phil came by i watched then went to 18 to watch him again. but i got sunburned on the top of my knee, and nowhere else. it was weird. but i had a good time. prom that nite w/ a very hott date. but i pulled up to here house and she had like her aunt and gma from lousianna sittin out there waitin for me. it freaked me out a lil. but we had a good time. i played poker at her after party. didnt do very well, but thats ok. so yeah thats my weekend in a nutshell, hope everybody out there in xanga land had a good weekend as well.

continue to answer the question below.

y do u, or y dont u go to church?

well i noe its been a while since ive posted one of these, but deal w/ it. May has been a crazy month. just a lot of stuff goin on. its been fun though. hope everybody's havin a good full last month of skool. ive slacked so much in skool its ridiculous. i dont think ive gone a full week w/o watchin a movie in everyone of my classes, except for english, b/c ms. kirkland doesnt believe in movies. so this slackin hasnt really hurt me all that bad.

byron nelson, band banquet, and my gf's prom all this weekend. just another crazy weekend. band banquet shoud be pretty fun if the djs dont suck like they did last year. byron nelson, get to go watch good guys play good golf, enough said. my gf's prom should be good for the amount of stinkin money im payin for that crap, b/c they dont do fundraisers. just be glad we do so we dont have to pay out the wazzoo.

well everybody have a good week/weekend.
